Reflection of golden petals,
Blurred by dusty lockdown window.
Yellow of anticipation,
Bloom before green leaves appear.
Vibrant colour crash against the brick wall.
Path belonging to no one, but common to all.

Poem inspired by the forsythia bushes I view them from my workspace window. Native to Asia, these early flowering spring bushes are part of the Olive tree family.
